Man in Bacolod City Who Hadn’t Bather for Days Arrested for Stealing Cologne
A man in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental who reportedly had not bathed for several days was arrested for stealing cologne from a grocery store.
A security guard apprehended the suspect for allegedly stealing cologne from a store. The culprit who reportedly had not bathed for several days, admitted to the theft and explained his actions.
The guard identified as Milandro Diero, expressed his fury towards the suspect, who retaliated by spraying cologne in his eyes during the confrontation. The suspect was eventually caught despite his attempt to escape.
Diero mentioned that the alleged thief had two accomplices and would visit the store regularly.
“Ini-spray-han nga niya ako sa mata o! ito o! tapos tumakbo siya, hinabol ko siya. isoli mo ninakaw mo! Andito siya ng iba’t-ibang oras. Ala-una, alas dose, alas-dos, alas-tres. Tatlo sila,” Diero said.
According to Diero, this was not the suspect’s first theft in the area. The man confessed, saying he took the cologne to spray on himself because he hadn’t bathed for several days.
“Oo, kumuha ako ng cologne para i-spray ko sa sarili ko dahil ilang araw na akong walang ligo,” the suspect said.
The local police arrested the suspect and are checking if he has a criminal record in other areas.
The authorities took the opportunity to remind store owners to install CCTV cameras, which are part of the requirements for obtaining a business permit.

These security measures help in preventing theft and other illegal activities, ensuring the safety and security of both customers and store personnel, according to Bacolod City Police Spokesperson Lt. Col. Bonifacio Ancajas.
“Ang mga security guard or employee na nasa mga establishment, they should establish contact or get in touch with our nearest police station,” Ancajas said.
