Guide on SSS Sickness Benefit Requirements 2024 for Member Applications
SSS SICKNESS BENEFIT REQUIREMENTS 2024 – Here are the documents that the Social Security System requires in filing an Sickness Benefit claim.
There is a huge advantage in maintaining an active and updated account to the Social Security System — you have loans and benefits that you can turn to as safety nets when financially-challenging situations occur. One of these is sickness which is inevitable.
Aside from the SSS loans, members of the state-run social insurance giant may qualify for the loans of the state-run social insurance institution. One of the benefit offers is the SSS Sickness Benefit.
Truth be told that many members of the SSS cannot afford to be absent at work as they are the breadwinners of their family. Sometimes, even though the next payday is still several days away, the amount has already been partitioned among the household expenses.
Thus, what usually happens when an SSS member who is an employee gets sick is to continue working — that usually happens if you do not know the Sickness Benefit offer of the state-run social insurance agency. The said benefit offer was crafted to help the sick members of the entity who are absent from work for at least four (4) days already due to sickness.
This benefit offer undeniably gives members the time to recover in times of sickness without the worries of falling short in the finances. It covers both hospital and home confinements.
Under the benefit offer, the claim may be processed by the member after the sickness or by an authorized representative. Here are the SSS Sickness Benefit requirements if the claim will be filed by the member:
