Optimum Star Claudine Barretto had an intense confrontation scene with actress Ara Mina in the Kapuso series Lovers & Liars.
The said series served as Claudine’s return to doing TV series after a long break. Her fans have been waiting for her television comeback. Finally, last year, her return to teleserye finally happened.
In Lovers & Liars, Ara plays the character of Elizabeth while Claudine is Via. They are rivals in the series and confrontations happen between their characters.
Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, an intense “sampalan” scene in the triple-plot drama series happened during Episode 28.
Claudine Barretto’s character was saying something to Ara Mina’s character. When Via was walking away, she intentionally bumped Elizabeth. As revenge, Elizabeth threw Via the envelopes she was holding.
From that, the exchange of slaps happened until a man tried to stop them when they were already pulling each other’s hair. Then, the director shouted, “cut.”
In the behind-the-scenes video that Ara shared on her Facebook Page, it can be seen that after the “cut,” she and Claudine hugged each other, as people on the set clapped for them.
“Behind the scene ng sampalan namin ng Optimum Star @claubarretto. It was my first time working with her, albeit for a quick stint, but I genuinely enjoyed the experience working with her,” Ara wrote in the caption of her post.
She also said that she hopes to have a chance again to work with Claudine on future projects. Ara also invited the public to watch the Kapuso series as it is now in its final week.
