Monty Blencowe, husband of Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe has this to say about her character as Mokang in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”.
A big part of the year 2023 of Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe is playing the role of Mokang in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”. It was a privilege to accordingly play this role and be a part of a show that was originally his father’s.
“A big part of my 2023 was breathing life into a character I have grown to love — what a privilege it was to play Mokang,” a post said as Lovi left Batang Quiapo.
Based on a previous article, the reason for her exit is not because being pregnant or anything related to this. This decision is fueled with her desire to seek other opportunities. In the show, Lovi exited by having her character shot saving Tanggol, the character of Coco Martin.
“I have nothing but beautiful memories but I think after a year I think it’s time for me to open myself up again with sa mga bagong opportunities,” Poe said.
She hopes for the best for the show and she’s at peace knowing that her father’s legacy is continued and in good hands.
As she departed the show, her husband Monty Blencowe expressed love and appreciation for her. In an IG story, the husband of the actress shared that he knows how special this project is to his wife.
She made many sacrifices for the show and spent so much time, love, and dedication for her character. He added, “I’m so proud of your achievements on this show and was blessed to be able to watch you on set over the summer.”
The actress replied to this sharing a memory she has of the photo. He was watching her that night and was waiting for her only to see her wearing the same clothing she was wearing in the episode he’s watching.
