ROB GOMEZ ISSUE – Screenshots of alleged private messages of the actor emerged online and the uploader might face serious repercussions.
Celebrities Rob Gomez, Bianca Manalo, and Herlene Budol are currently under hot waters. This is after the alleged private messages of the actor between these female personalities emerged online.
Rob’s rumored affair with Herlene has been sparked after it was seen in the screenshots that they have these sweet and clingy exchanges.
However, the alleged messages of Bianca Manalo shocked the people more. These messages sparked cheating rumors as the actress was publicly known to be in a relationship with a politician.
In the messages, she was asking the actor if he was coming over to her place and even added that “he is in Valenzuela”. People online are not certain who was the “he” she was referring to but they assumed that it was her politician boyfriend.
Amid all these rumors and controversies, Rob issued a statement. He expressed that his phone was taken and used without his consent. The person who took his phone also shared unauthorized posts intending to destroy his reputation.
It is alleged that his partner Shaila Rebortera was the one who posted the screenshots. This has not been confirmed yet but whoever is found guilty of uploading these screenshots might face repercussions legally.
Such an act violated the Data Privacy Act of 2012 or the Republic Act No. 10173. According to the National Privacy Commission, persons who post private conversations without the authority of the involved parties will face legal implications based on the Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012.
Under the DPA, those who will be found guilty will face prison time from one to three years and will pay Php 500,000.00 to Php 1 million.
