Piolo Pascual got another Best Actor award

A-list actor Piolo Pascual has this emotional reaction after winning the Best Actor trophy in the recently concluded Aliw Awards.

Piolo is one of the most sought-after leading men of this generation. Throughout his career in showbiz, he has already done different projects that showcased his versatility.

Aside from acting, he also ventured into music and movie production. It showed that he can also play different roles in the industry itself.

Just recently, Piolo Pascual also ventured into musical theater through Ibarra. This allowed him to showcase another side of himself as a performer.

After being called the “Best Lead Actor in Musical” at the 36th Aliw Awards. ABS-CBN entertainment reporter Ganiel Krishnan, based on the article in Bandera, was able to capture that emotional moment for Piolo.

He said that he was simply happy. “Di ko alam eh, forever ko iki-keep ‘yung ganitong recognition because, you know, I’m an actor,” he said. The A-list actor added that he is happy that he can go out of his comfort zone, be out of the box, and challenge himself.

Piolo said that theater is not his forte but he started in theater. Having this recognition only means that his hard work paid off. “Wala ho akong ipagyayabang, pero forever akong magiging humble sa lahat ng natatamasa natin and I’m just really thankful to the Lord for taking us this far, the actor said.

He also expressed that he is open to working in another theater production. “If there is a chance, if there is a good story such as ‘Kanser’ which turned into ‘Ibarra,’ it will always be a privilege to do something that would push forward to theater because it’s thriving right now,” the actor said.

Piolo Pascual also shared his upcoming projects. He will be doing a series on ABS-CBN and two movies.
