PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (December 8, 2023)
PAGASA – The state weather bureau reported that the country will have good and fair weather this Friday and over the long weekend.
On Friday (December 8, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will continue to affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that the northeast monsoon will bring light rains over extreme Northern Luzon. It will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Badrina reported that good and fair weather is expected today and during the weekend. Warm temperatures will prevail in many parts of the country until the next few days.
No gale warning was raised in any parts of the country with the weakened northeast monsoon.
The weather agency has warned the residents in the affected area to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
