Phivolcs Releases Bulletin about the Earthquake Today in Camarines Sur, November 30, 2023
EARTHQUAKE – The Phivolcs recorded a 4.9 magnitude quake in Camarines Sur today, Thursday, November 30, 2023.
Following the 4.7 magnitude earthquake that hit Sarangani a few days ago, another significant quake was recently recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) in the area. According to the agency, the quake that hit Camarines Sur today had a magnitude of 4.9.
The earthquake today that struck Camarines Sur, Thursday, November 30, 2023, was tectonic in origin.
According to Phivolcs, the earthquake that hit a part of Camarines Surwas located at 13.70°North, 123.28°East – 007 km South 82° East of Calabanga. It had a depth of focus of 004 kilometers.
Phivolcs stated in its bulletin that damages are expected from the said quake. According to the quake-recording agency, the following intensities were felt in these areas:

- Goa and Cabusao, Camarines Sur
- Mercedes, Daet, and Basud, Camarines Norte
- Guinayangan, Quezon
Intensity III
- Iriga City, Bula, and Presentacion, Camarines Sur
- Lopez, Quezon
Intensity IV
- Naga, Calamigan, and Calabanga, Camarines Sur
Intensity V
- Tinambac, Camarines Sur
