Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla also issued a statement shortly after Kathryn Bernardo confirmed their split.
In a previous article, Kathryn Bernardo confirmed the KathNiel split in real life through a statement. In her statement, she directly addressed the rumors by saying: “It’s true that Deej and I have decided to part ways.”
They have been drifting apart for a while now which made them decide to do this heartbreaking step in their relationship which is to end it. They have come to realize that there’s no way things will ever be the same as before in their relationship, hence, the acceptance to the reality.
“Chapter closed. I hope this finally helps all of us move forward. I won’t be entertaining questions regarding this anymore. Thank you for understanding,” says the actress in the caption of her post.
Shortly after the confirmation from the actress, the actor also aired his side.
In the caption, Daniel wrote “Ikaw at ako” referring to him and Kathryn, and in the post, he elaborated on his feelings about this new chapter in their lives as individual people. In his statement, he expressed that to love her and to be loved by her is a big blessing in his life.
He said that their memories will always be with him and these memories will light his life when dark days come.
“Thank you for dancing with me during my highs and thank you for singing with me during my lows. Our lives may drift away, but our love will still ride that tide.”
For the fans, he expressed his love for them. He appreciated everything they went through and nothing will accordingly break the bond they have built with the people who are not just their supporters but also the same people who turned into their friends and family.
It will be hard but they going to get through it.
