Tragic Accident Claims Life of Female Worker at Firecracker Factory in Bulacan
BOCAUE, BULACAN – A female worker tragically lost her life in a firecracker factory accident while doing her job.
Firecrackers are small devices made of paper, string, and a special kind of powder. They are designed to produce colorful lights and loud sounds when ignited. People often use them to add a spark of joy to special occasions and celebrations.
However, users are required to follow safety guidelines when handling and lighting firecrackers. Always have adults around, light them in open spaces away from buildings, and keep a safe distance to avoid any unfortunate incidents.
Recently, Riza Villanueva, a 45-year-old worker woman lost her life in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Bocaue, Bulacan. The lady employee is in the process of making a firecracker when an accident leads to a sudden explosion.
Authorities, conducting an investigation into the matter, revealed that the victim was working on a “kwitis” when the incident happened.
The explosion resulted in severe burns covering a large part of the victim’s body, and tragically, her left leg was severed. Despite immediate efforts to rush her to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries later on.
The victim suffered fatal injuries from the blast. The Bulacan Police Provincial Office shared preliminary information about the incident, indicating that the factory worker lost her life on Wednesday afternoon (November 22, 2023).
