3 Ways to Apply for DSWD Education Cash Assistance
There are three (3) options on how to apply for the DSWD Educational Cash Assistance Offer for financially poor but deserving students.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development, more popularly called DSWD, has a social security program — the Assistance To Individuals in Crisis Situation program. More commonly called AICS, it includes an Education Assistance for financially poor but deserving students.
The DSWD Educational Assistance is granted in the form of cash. It is open for working students, breadwinners, students who have no family or living with relatives, children of parents with no source of income, and children of solo parents, OFWs, and PWDs.
The DSWD Eduvational Cash Assistance which is not a scholarship but an educational aid wants to give students the chance to pour their attention on their studies. It wants to relieve both students and parents from thinking about some of the school fees.
There are three (3) ways to apply for the Educational Assistance offer of DSWD for students:
Walk-in process. Go to the nearest DSWD central or field office and inform the staff about your intention to apply for the educational assistance offer. Wait for an update regarding the schedule of your interview.
On your interview date, bring your Student School ID, parents/guardian ID, Enrollment Form or any proof of school registration, and student fee slips. The DSWD cash grant depends on the grade or year level of the student beneficiary.
Send email for appointment. Another way to apply for the DSWD Educational Cash Assistance offer is to start the process by sending an email for appointment. In your email request for appointment, indicate the following information:
- Name
- Contact Details
- Complete Address
- Soonest possible time for an interview
Send your email to [email protected]. Wait for an update about your interview schedule. On your scheduled dates, bring all your requirements to process the application.
Online. Visit the official website of the DSWD and fill out the online form for application to the DSWD Educational Cash Assistance. Submit the form by clicking the button and wait for an update from the government agency. Make sure to bring all your requirements on the appointment date of interview.
