WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions in various areas due to inclement weather conditions.
Over the past few days, a low-pressure area east of northeastern Mindanao has been bringing violent winds and heavy rains to various parts of the country. However, it has a slim chance of developing into a storm.
The LPA was last located 1,220 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao and is expected to enter the Philippine area of Responsibility in the next 24 hours. The weather disturbance has also triggered flash floods and landslides in the affected areas.
The shear line will also bring scattered rains over Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga. The northeast monsoon will bring light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.
