The GSIS Separation Benefit 2023 was crafted to help GSIS members who involuntarily got separated from work. The job loss must be due to a factor not within the control of the member like the abolition of an office or a position. 

The amount that a member will get under the benefit offer depends on certain factors like the length of service and the status of his/her GSIS account. In case the member unfortunately passed away during the processing of the claim, the claim will be granted to his/her legal heirs.

The claim for the GSIS Separation Benefit 2023 must be filed within four (4) years since the separation from office. Here is the process in filing a claim:

Step 1 — Check the Eligibility Requirements.

    • Log in to your GSIS account.
    • Choose the benefit you wish to file a claim for and follow the instructions to complete the process.
Step 4 — Wait for the Release of your Money.

It may take a few working days to weeks for the Government Service Insurance Insurance (GSIS) to process the claim application. Wait for an update from the state-run social insurance institution.
