Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray uplifted Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee’s confidence for the international pageant.
The 72nd edition of Miss Universe is set to be held on November 18 in El Salvador. On November 2, Michelle officially started her Miss Universe journey and during the send-off, many of her supporters bid her farewell with optimism that she will do great in her second international pageant.
Michelle first represented the Philippines in Miss World back in 2019. Previously, she revealed that during that pageant she experienced sabotage.
For Miss Universe 2023, Michelle Dee showed how confident she is because she prepared 200 percent of herself for this stint. She is also hopeful to bring the 5th Miss Universe crown for her fellow Filipinos.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach previously expressed that Michelle has a “fighting chance” to win this year’s edition of the most prestigious beauty pageant. Following Pia’s positive words for the Kapuso star, Catriona Gray also showed support for the Pinay representative.
Michelle shared on her Instagram page the official first day of her Miss Universe stint after the sashing ceremony. “First day high & proudly wearing the Philippines over my heart,” she wrote in the caption of her post showcasing the “Philippines” sash she was wearing.
“Spent the day doing fittings, registration and of course getting to know all of the girls! was so happy to see some of my kababayans here as well!” Michelle added and this made her fans so excited.
In the comment section of her post, Michelle received a boosting comment from the Miss Universe 2018. “Letz gowwww,” Catriona Gray wrote and this was followed by Philippine flag emojis. Michelle Dee thanked her fellow beauty queen for her support.
Meanwhile, Michelle bagged the top spot in the Voice for Change category. The official page of Miss Universe Philippines thanked everyone who voted for the Pinay beauty queen.
