However, Balisong Channel released a statement clarifying that Catherine’s last visit to their company was back in 2021 and they have no recent collaboration.

The family of the beauty queen, who is also a high school teacher, shared that as far as they know, Catherine was not in a relationship. However, when authorities reported a new development, it was said that the person of interest was her boyfriend, who is a policeman.

The said policeman was already relieved from duty and in the custody of the authorities. Based on the report from Inquirer, the unnamed police officer was transferred to the Philippine National Police – Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit’s custody.

β€œI-sa-subject po siya for interview para kung siya man ay hindi magsasabi ng totoo, he will be under pain of perjury later on,” Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation Field Unit – Calabarzon chief Colonel Jacinto Malinao said.

Malinao added that they are still looking for more pieces of evidence in the Catherine Camilon case. “For the meantime, tumitingin po kami sa ibang ebidensya na pwedeng mai-link sa kanya sa pagkawala ni Catherine,” the police chief said. He also said that this recent development was due to the fact that a friend of the beauty queen texted her family to inform them that she was really indeed in a romantic relationship.
