Criminology Student Dies After Suffering Serious Injuries in Alleged Hazing Incident

A 25-year-old criminology student, Ahldryn Bravante, lost his life in an alleged hazing incident in Quezon City.

According to the investigation conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Ahldryn Bravante was reportedly undergoing initiation rites for a fraternity when the incident took place.

The young criminology student allegedly had difficulty breathing and lost consciousness during the hazing. He was quickly rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

The QCPD has taken four of Bravante’s fellow students into custody. Two of these students are believed to have initiated the victim’s admission to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

His father, Alexander Bravante, shared his heart-wrenching feelings about the loss of his son. “Wala na ho, matigas na eh. Nung dinala dun sa ospital matigas na. Ibig sabihin n’un pinatay na nila ang anak ko,” he said.

Mr. Bravante is calling for justice, compensation for his son’s medical expenses, and the incarceration of all those involved in the incident.

The photos of the victim reveal a battered and bruised body, with injuries to his legs. The latter also suffered wounds and burns on various parts of his body, indicating the severity of the hazing incident.

“Nakikiusap lang talaga ako, hustisya lang po, danyos, lahat ng gagastusin ng anak ko gawin nila. Atsaka dapat makulong sila. Lahat sila makulong,” he added.

Alexander last spoke to his son on Sunday night before the incident. He recalled his son’s early departure for school on Monday. The grief-stricken father is now seeking justice for his son, urging the authorities to ensure that the responsible individuals face the full consequences of their actions.
