PAGASA Says Northeasterly Surface Windflow to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that northeasterly surface windflow will bring rains in several areas.
On Monday (October 16, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeasterly surface wind flow will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that northeasterly surface wind flow will affect Extreme Northern Luzon, Batanes, and three other areas. It will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with isolated light rains over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao.

The trough or extension of a low-pressure area will bring cloudy conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan. Flash floods and landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The LPA was spotted 980 kilometers west of Central Luzon but it is not expected to affect the country.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
