PAGASA Says Northeasterly Surface Windflow to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that northeasterly surface windflow will bring isolated rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (October 14, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeasterly surface wind flow will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that northeasterly surface windflow will bring cloudy weather conditions and isolated rain showers over parts of Northern Luzon.

“Ang nakaaapekto ngayon sa ating bansa [ay] itong northeasterly surface wind flow sa bandang Northern Luzon,” PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

It will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Abra, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The northeasterly surface windflow and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has warned the public about possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, the western section of Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
