It’s Showtime To Be Replaced By ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ Hosted By Luis Manzano?

This show will allegedly replace It’s Showtime while it serves suspension.

Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime will be serving a suspension and allegedly, ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ by Luis Manzano is the replacement.

Numerous complaints and other warnings and violations from before have pushed the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to order a 12-day suspension for It’s Showtime.

But the main reason was the cake incident of hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez.

Motions of reconsideration from the ABS-CBN and GMA have been filed but to no avail. MTRCB denied the appeals and stood firm by their decision to suspend the noontime show. The decision of suspension is not final yet as they are still allowed to make appeals to the Office Of The President. However, the network decided to not push it.

ABS-CBN released a statement where it was stated that the show would be serving the suspension. It will begin on October 14 and they will return on October 28.

They may be serving the suspension but the network firmly stated this, as well, in the statement: “We respect the authority of MTRCB, but we humbly maintain that the program did not break any pertinent law.”

Now, what will be the replacement of the show?

Allegedly, ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ which will be hosted by Luis Manzano is set to fill the timeslot of the noontime show while they are under suspension. Manzano will be hosting this show along with Robi Domingo and Melai Francisco.

This is not confirmed yet. The network will probably make an announcement as to what will fill the space left by Showtime.

Meanwhile, in a previous article, Senator Bong Revilla appeals for the employees of the show whose lives will be affected once the suspension takes effect. He is concerned about the employees under the “no work, no pay” policy for the 12-day suspension means 12 days of no income for them as well.
