Zephanie Dimaranan Reacts To Bashing After Her Transfer To GMA

Zephanie Dimaranan wants to show kindness amid the bashing

Singer Zephanie Dimaranan has spoken about the bashing she received after she decided to transfer to GMA.

Zephanie is the first-ever winner of Idol Philippines, a Kapamilya franchise of an American TV competition. This was probably the reason why there were those who expressed negative reactions against her when she signed a contract with the Kapuso network.

The issue even hyped up when comedian-host Vice Ganda, who was one of the judges, appeared to have a meaningful message to the Idol PH Season 2 winner. However, Zephanie was defended by defended entertainment writer Cristy Fermin.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Zephanie Dimaranan said that she is lucky not to experience bullying in school. However, she is aware that this can’t be the case in showbiz.

It was when I joined the entertainment industry that I encountered hate online. The littlest things [you do to] me … some people will always find something wrong or something to criticize,” she said.

The singer is also aware that her decision to switch networks received bashing. She knows that there were people who couldn’t accept her decision and were affected by what she did.

But we all have our reasons for the decisions we make. I’m just grateful that there are people in my life who always remind me not to let [the negativity] affect me; that it’s normal to receive hate, because it will always be there,” Zephanie said.

She added that through this, she is being reminded that she can’t please everybody. With this, she is keeping her feet on the ground.

The young singer admitted that the bashing affected her. She said that she would be lying if she said that this did not reach her somehow. However, Zephanie Dimaranan said that she is choosing to be kind and understanding to those who do not like her.

She does not know where the negativity comes from but she just understands her bashers. The singer is just thinking that maybe those people are going through difficulties.

The Kapuso star also said that the important thing for her is that she knows what is real, what she thinks of herself, and what the people she values think of her.
