Pinay Actress Whitney Tyson Jobless for Over a Year After Departure From ‘Ang Probinsyano’
The Pinay actress Whitney Tyson has been facing a year-long unemployment after the hit series ‘Ang Probinsyano’.
Bunny Fowler popularly known as Whitney Tyson is a Filipina actress, singer, and comedian best known as Elizabeth in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. She is the only child of a Filipino mother and an African-American father.
Tyson embraced her ethnicity and used it to her advantage when she first entered show business. In different films and television series, she generally played minor roles as sidekicks or home assistants.
Her career eventually diminished over the years, to the point where she had to make appearances in various fiestas to make ends meet as a pauper living in a shanty beneath Manila’s Nagtahan Bridge.
Recently, the former comedian shared that she has been jobless for over a year following her departure from Coco Martin’s TV series ‘Ang Probinsyano’. She opened up about her financial hardships and the challenges she has faced since leaving the television show.
Tyson who portrayed the character ‘Elizabeth’ in the long-running show, revealed that she could no longer provide for her family and she found herself jobless.
“Ito jobless pa rin, one year na. Mula nung natapos yung Ang Probinsyano hanggang ngayon, wala pa rin akong job, walang work,” the actress reiterated.
In her quest to find employment, Whitney reached out to Cory Vidanes, the Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast of ABS-CBN Corporation. She hoped for assistance but, unfortunately, has not received a positive response from the executive.
“Tumatawag ako kay Tita Cory [Vidanes], sabi naman niya tutulungan ako, pero until now wala. Wala pa ring work,” Tyson said.
Whitney made an earnest appeal to Coco Martin, pointing out that he was well aware of how many people depended on her financial support as the breadwinner in her family.
“Panawagan, e, alam naman niya na ako yung breadwinner sa amin kaya nga di ako maalis-alis sa Ang Probinsyano, e. Itong Batang Quiapo, pag ako ay sumama sa Batang Quiapo, magmumukhang Batang Gapo, kasi nga andun ako,” she added.
The actor has yet to respond to Whitney’s statement.
