Here’s the official statement of ABS-CBN regarding It’s Showtime and the junked motion for reconsideration.
IT’S SHOWTIME – ABS-CBN releases an official statement on MTRCB’s decision regarding the denied motions for reconsideration.
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has reelased a decision regarding the filed motions for reconsideration of It’s Showtime. The suspension was due to the alleged indecent acts of hosts Ryan Bang, Vice Ganda, and Ion Perez in a segment.
The cake incident led to Showtime’s suspension.
And now, several weeks after, a decision has been made – MTRCB denied the motions for reconsideration.
This decision is still not final yet which gives them more time to still air. After being junked by the MTRCB, they can proceed on making an appeal to the Office Of The President.
If denied again, they may appeal on Court Of Appeals and lastly, the Supreme Court, if CA denies them. The SC will have the final word. And if all options are exhausted, the 12-day suspension will begin.
And in the statement from ABS-CBN, they confirmed that they have received the decision. But this won’t stop them from exploring remedies and options. For the meantime, the show will still be aired Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV.
As stated above, the decision is not yet final.

We have received the decision of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board denying our Motion for Reconsideration regarding “It’s Showtime” and are currently exploring all our remedies and options.
In the meantime, since the imposed suspension is not yet final and executory, we would like to reassure our audiences that “It’s Showtime” will continue to be seen on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV. It is also available on Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.
