Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach reunited with former Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez eight years after the historical coronation.
The Miss Universe 2015 pageant is probably one of the most unforgettable editions held in Las Vegas, Nevada. It had a global broadcast on December 20, 2015, when host Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner.
In the event, Steve called Colombia’s Ariadna Gutierrez the winner but the real winner of the pageant was the Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach.
That time, Pia’s victory ended the drought for the Philippines in the said pageant after 42 years. She is the third Filipino to win the prestigious crown. And eight years after this unforgettable moment, the former rivals met again.
They crossed paths once again in Paris for the fashion week and Wutzbach has shared some stunning snaps of them together. She put a playful caption on her social post with their photos.
“The reunion you’ve all been waiting for,” the Filipina queen said in her post that caught lots of attention immediately.
In the comments, Gutierrez replied, “Almost 8 years 😭❤️”
The Colombian beauty queen was referring to the amount of time it took for them to finally be reunited. In an Instagram story, she shared, “When time makes sure you meet the right people once again.”
And immediately after this post, the pageant world went crazy. Other Miss Universe beauty queens reacted to this like Miss Universe 2017 Demi Tebow of South Africa and Miss Universe 2022 Andrea Meza of Mexico.
“This is powerful! Love this,” Tebow said.
This moment in the pageant field was voted as the top Miss Universe crowning moment of all time during the 70th year of Miss Universe.
