The student boarded a modern jeepney operated by Homesite RSJ Lines, Inc. The conductor commented on her size as she was about to pay her fare and demanded that she pay for two seats instead of one.

Feeling humiliated, Lanimae decided to move to a vacant seat at the back of the jeepney, hoping to avoid further confrontation.

However, the conductor did not relent. He pursued her, asking if she was a regular passenger and insisting that she pay for two seats. When she explained that she was a student, he continued to press her to pay double.

Due to embarrassment, Mag-aro offered to transfer to another jeepney, but the conductor physically restrained her.

A fellow passenger empathized with her and remarked that the conductor’s behavior was unacceptable. The young woman became emotional and began to cry openly, feeling deeply ashamed of herself.
