Switzerland is not one of the no visa countries. Meanwhile, the Swiss government allows the issuance of visa for several purposes including tourism. You just have to apply and submit the requirements stated below to take your chance for an approval.

If you are visiting Switzerland as a tourist, you need to apply for a Tourist Visa. Here are the requirements for Switzerland visa application for the purpose of tourism:

  • duly-accomplished Swiss Visa Application Form
  • two (2) passport photos)
  • Philippine passport valid for at least three (3) months beyond the date of departure from Switzerland
  • copies of previous visa if you have visited the country before
  • round-trip flight itinerary
  • proof of accommodation
  • proof of civil status
  • proof of sufficient financial means to fund stay in Switzerland
  • cover letter explaining the visit to Switzerland
  • Schengen travel visa insurance
  • proof of income
    • If employed, prepare the following:
      • Employment contract
      • Current bank statement for the latest 6 months
      • Leave permission from the employer
      • Income Tax Return (ITR) form
    • If self-employed, prepare the following:
      • copy of business license
      • Company bank statement for the latest 6 months
      • Income Tax Return (ITR)
    • If student, prepare the following:
      • Proof of enrollment
      • No-objection certificate from school or university
      • Advertisements
    • If retired, prepare your Pension statement of the latest 6 months

If you are traveling with minors, there are addition requirements for Switzerland visa application. Here are the additional documents needed:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Switzerland application form signed by both parents
  • If only one parent has full custody of the child, a Family Court Order must be submitted
  • If the minor will be traveling alone with another person aside from the parents, the following will be required:
    • original and copy of the accompanying person’s passport page
    • notarized parental authorization signed by both parents

Medical Visa:

  • confirmation from the Swiss hospital/doctor
  • original letter from a local doctor stating diagnosis
  • proof of advance payment of 50%

Transit Visa:

  • valid visa for the final country destination
  • flight ticket
