Described as “a tropical paradise with a bustling urban center perfect for business with leisure trips” is Puerto Princesa in Palawan. It has white sand beaches and lush rainforests.
This place is especially special because this is where we can find the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park or the Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The underground river is also among the 7 Wonders of the World. But apart from this heritage site, there are actually a lot of tourist spots in this place like Honda Bay, Ugong Rock Adventures, Crocodile Farm, and many others.
How to get there?
By flight:
- From Manila – Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia have flights from NAIA International Airport Terminal 2 and 3 to this place.
- From Cebu – Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia have direct and nonstop flights from Cebu to this place. If you’re from Cebu, there will be a layover in Manila.
- From Clark – There are also direct and nonstop flights from here. If you are on a connecting flight, Cebu is the usual stop.
- From Iloilo – You can have a direct or nonstop flight and oftentimes, the layover is in Manila.
- From Davao – Connecting flights from here have Manila as their main layover.
By ferry:
- There are ferries from Manila, Coron, and Iloilo to take you to this part of Palawan but it would take several hours of being afloat before you can reach this.
