Megan Young has a pageant journey that inspired a lot of pageant aspirants
Miss World 2013 Megan Young has this answer when asked if she wants to join Miss Universe now that the age limit has been lifted.
Megan first entered the entertainment industry before she became a beauty queen. She joined the Kapuso talent search StarStruck and despite having a good career in showbiz, she decided to pursue her dream to be a beauty queen.
She was crowned Miss Philippines World in 2013 and eventually represented the country in the international pageant. Megan became the first Filipina to win the Miss World title.
With what she achieved, her pageant journey became an inspiration to many pageant aspirants. Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo previously admitted that Megan Young is her “ultimate queen-spiration.”
Since the Miss Universe Organization just recently announced that there will no longer be an age limit in the pageant, some pageant fans are expecting that their favorite beauty queen will once again join an international pageant.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Megan said that she has no plan to join another pageant.
“No, I’m happy now where I am,” the wife of actor Mikael Daez said. Megan was also asked to share her reaction to the no-age limit announcement.
“I think it’s great. I think the times are changing. Pageants are changing. It’s changed so much throughout the years and, you know, we’re just moving with the times. I’m really happy to see that,” the Kapuso actress said.
Meanwhile, the most recent acting project that Megan Young is the Kapuso primetime series Royal Blood. In a previous statement, she said that she channeled her Miss World aura for her character in the said series.
