List of Requirements for Indonesia Visa Application You Must Prepare
REQUIREMENTS FOR INDONESIA VISA – Here are the documents needed in applying for an Indonesian travel visa for entry based on purpose of visit.
One of the Asian countries with a very unique culture is Indonesia, an island nation in Southeast Asia. It has more than 17,000 islands including the famous Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Java. Are you one of the people who want to visit Indonesia?

Indonesia is actually not in the list of visa free countries for Filipinos this 2023. Meanwhile, it is still possible to get to the country as it opens the visa application for different purposes — tourism, students who want to study in Indonesia, business, and work.
When you get to Indonesia, don’t forget to visit their most famous attractions including the beaches in Bali, the Borobudur, the Gili islands, the Komodo National Park, and the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud. Don’t miss the orangutans of Borneo as well.

The requirements for Indonesia visa application depends on the purpose of the visit to the country. Among the visa types it offers are the Tourist Visa, Student Visa, Business Visa, and Work Visa.
Tourist Visa. If you are flying to Indonesia for the purpose of vacation or seeing the beautiful places that the country has to offer and will be back after a few days or weeks, you must prepare the following documents for visa application:
- duly-accomplished Indonesia Visa Application Form
- Philippine passport that is valid for at least six (6) months upon arrival in Indonesia
- copy of your valid Residence Permit/Visa if you are not a citizen of the country you live in
- Passport-size picture
- 3cm x 4 cm or 4cm x 6cm in size
- either a white or red background
- look at the camera straight ahead
- no hats, head coverings, bandanas, sunglasses, or prescription glasses
- copy of your round-trip or onward travel ticket
- proof of sufficient financial means like bank statments
- letter of invitation if you will be visiting friends in Indonesia
- letter of invitation if you were invited by an organization
- proof of having paid the Indonesia visa fee
Business Visa. There is a different set of requirements for Indonesia visa application if you will be visiting the country for business purposes. Here are the documents that you must prepare and submit:
- duly-accomplished Indonesia Visa Application Form
- Philippine passport that is valid for at least six (6) months upon arrival in Indonesia
- copy of your valid Residence Permit/Visa if you are not a citizen of the country you live in
- Passport-size picture
- 3cm x 4 cm or 4cm x 6cm in size
- either a white or red background
- look at the camera straight ahead
- no hats, head coverings, bandanas, sunglasses, or prescription glasses
- copy of your round-trip or onward travel ticket

Work Visa. In applying for a work visa for employment in Indonesia, both the employer and the worker will have to process a lot of documents. In the case of the worker, here are the documents needed for RTPKA and IMTA application:
- RPTKA Application
- duly-accomplished RPTKA application form
- letter from employer explaining the reason for hiring and the position
- company documents
- organizational structure of the company
- company’s annual reports on number of local and international employees
- Letter of recommendation from another institution/organization
- IMTA Application
- RPTKA
- copy of your passport
- proof of education and experience related to your field/occupation and the position you will have
- certificate of work experience
- letter from you indicating your affirmation to the employment
- proof of an insurance policy issued by an Indonesian insurance company
- National Social Security policy and Tax identification number (NPWP)
- proof of payment of the DPKK (Skill & Development Fund) Fee ($1,200/year)
- two passport-size colour pictures of yourself
Student Visa. You may also pursue an educational level in Indonesia. Here are the requirements for Indonesia visa application for students who want to pursue their studies in the foreign country:
- copy of your passport
- copy of the Letter of Acceptance Letter from your university
- Curriculum Vitae
- copy of the study permit from the Ministry of National Education
- copy of the Recommendation Letter from your university addressed to the Directorate of Immigration
- copy of your academic transcript and records
- two recent passport-size pictures (4×6 cm)
- letter of Financial Guarantee or a sponsorship certificate
- Health certificate
Submit your documents to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Manila. It is located along the Salcedo street in Legaspi Village, Makati City, Metro Manila.
