ILOILO, PHILIPPINES – A viral food vendor in Megaworld Iloilo touched the hearts of the online community.
A Facebook user named Aliyaah Bianca Candoleza has shared photos of a young boy selling food in Megaworld Iloilo. The heartbreaking post quickly garnered various reactions from internet users.
Candoleza’s post was a call made to anyone passing by Megaworld to support the young boy by purchasing his breakfast items and extending a helping hand to meet his needs. The kid estimated to be between 11 to 13 years old, was seen earnestly tending to his merchandise, which included suman latik, burgers, empanadas, and soft drinks.
According to Aliyaah, they had only intended to buy a burger when they encountered the young vendor during their stroll in the area. She and her boyfriend helped the young vendor relocate to a more sheltered spot to provide him with better working conditions.
The couple also decided to purchase some of the food items he was selling, directly supporting his small business.
However, the post earned various reactions from the netizens, with some commenters expressing their concern about the young boy’s age and the weight of responsibility placed upon his young shoulders.
However, others commended his determination to earn a living and praised his work ethic.
