LRT 2 STATIONS – Here is a full list of the Light Rail Transit 2 terminals and their exact address including the landmarks.

Undeniably, when you are traveling in Metro Manila, traffic is one of the most common things to happen. Thus, everyone is advised to leave early and to be fully aware of the options to make the travel time faster or to get away from traffic. One of the options is to take a train ride.

There are at least two (2) Light Rail Transits in the Philippines — the LRT 1 and the LRT 2. There are at least 21 LRT 1 Stations but the number may increase following the construction of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project eyed in 2024. Currently, the LRT 1, also called the Green Line, traverses Manila, Pasay, Quezon City, and Caloocan.

With regards to the LRT 2 stations, there are 11 terminals and the Light Rail Transit traverses Pasig, Marikina, Quezon City, San Juan and Manila. It is under the Light Rail Transit Authority or the LRTA.

Some of the least crowded train terminals in the Philippines are part of the LRT 2. Here is a list of the LRT 2 stations and the exact address of each terminal:

Recto Station

The Westernmost terminal of the LRT 2, the Recto Station is located on Recto Avenue near the Quiapo and Santa Cruz districts in Manila.

Legarda Station

The Legarda Station, named after the Legarda Avenue, is located in Sampaloc, Manila. It is near several prominent universities thus many of its commuters are college students.

Pureza Station

Located in Santa Mesa, Manila, the Pureza Station got its name from a nearby street, the Pureza Street. It is also near schools and the Pasig River Ferry Service.

V. Mapa Station

This is the only one of the LRT 2 Stations which has two (2) names — it is also called the Santa Mesa Station. It is situated near the intersection of V. Mapa Street in Santa Mesa, Manila.

J. Ruiz Station

Located in San Juan, specifically near the Quezon City border before entering Manila, the J. Ruiz Station is the only train station for San Juan residents.

Gilmore Station

The Gilmore Station is situated near Gilmore Avenue in Quezon City in Mariana, Quezon City. It is near several huge universities, the St. Luke’s Medical Center, and the San Juan and Greenhills Shopping Center.

Araneta Center–Cubao Station

Also called the Cubao Station, this train terminal is situated in Cubao, Quezon City. It is considered the main terminal among the LRT 2 stations. It is one of the busiest LRT stations in Metro Manila.

Anonas Station

Located in Cubao, Quezon City, its name was taken from a nearby street, the Anonas Street.

Katipunan Station

This train station is located in Katipunan Avenue, specifically at Loyola Heights in Quezon City. It is the only train terminal underground on the entire line.

Santolan Station

Situated along the Marikina-Infanta highway in Marikina near the Pasig border, the Santolan Station is the easternmost terminal of the LRT 2. It is the only terminal with an island platform.

Marikina Station

The last stop in Metro Manila, the Marikina Station is located near the three-point boundary between Pasig, Metro Manila, and Cainta, Rizal along the Marikina-Infanta Highway near the intersection of Felix Avenues and Gil Fernando.
