The Community Tax Certificate is a document that certifies the community tax payment of the individual. It is one of the documents that are easy and fast to process.

The document is requested from a barangay hall, the city hall, or the municipal hall. However, due to the barangay hall issuing a permit, the CEDULA is usually requested from the municipal or city hall.

There are eligibility requirements in getting a Community Tax Certificate. The applicant must be:

  • a Philippine resident
  • at least 18 years of age
  • an employed individual who is working for at least 30 consecutive days during the calendar year
  • a business owner who operates a witness within the municipality or city
  • a person required to file an income tax return
  • an individual who has a real estate property with a value of at least P1,000

  • proof of Income

  • approved business tax declaration as evaluated by the City Treasurer’s office

If the person who wants to get a Community Tax Certificate cannot personally process it due to a hectic schedule, a medical condition, or another reason, a representative is allowed to do it. Here are the documents needed:

  • valid government-issued ID
