Tony Labrusca is happy to have a new project
Actor Tony Labrusca shared the preparation that he did for his sultry scenes in the new series Nag-aapoy Na Damdamin.
Tony took a break from acting for a while. This came after the controversies he got involved with. However, despite the intrigues he went through in the past, he comes back with a new project.
In a previous interview, the actor expressed happiness that he is able to do acting projects again.
In his new series, based on the article in the Philippine Ultimate Showbiz Hub, Tony Labrusca plays the character of Lucas Buencamino. This project is ABS-CBN and TV5’s collaboration.
Also part of the series are Kapamilya stars Ria Atayde, JC De Vera, and Jane Oineza. In a recent interview, Tony admitted that he did not expect that the acceptance from the viewers could be as intense as it is.
“We’ve been working on this serye for almost 2 months time went by. Its so fast sa sobrang busy sa taping di masyado pumasok sa isip na mag airing na kami. Now, finally airing, it’s nice nakikita na naming reaction ng tao, napapanood nila hard work naming lahat,” the actor said.
The actor also said that he is happy about the positive feedback that he is getting from the viewers. He shared that he feels nice hearing good words about him.
Recalling the time when this project was offered to him, Tony shared that he did not know at first the gravity of the role that he will be playing.
“I had no idea it was such a big show. I was really hesitant. Honestly, work wasn’t on my mind. Dealing with other things, I was just like super hesitant. Ako kasi nasa isip ko ‘Kaya ko ba to itong role na to.’ It’s gonna be challenging. I distinctly remember telling Direk, ‘I don’t know if I can do this’,” the actor said.
He is thankful that he received encouraging words from their director FM Reyes. “For me personally, I’ve never done a role that was so serious. Mayroon boyish quality about myself. Nai-incorporate ko ‘yung parang that young spirit into my characters. But this time, I’m playing a lawyer in his early 30s,” he shared about his role.
He got a lot of help from their director on how he would portray a lawyer, from the way he walks, and talks, and all the nuances. Tony also had to undergo a sensuality workshop for the sultry scenes.
He shared that he would get asked if he is already used to doing intimate scenes, the actor said, “You never get used to it.” Tony Labrusca also said that it is a good thing that he and Ria Atayde would just laugh in between their takes. They have learned to support each other in their scenes.
