Vice Ganda, Ion Perez Have Two Days Of “Labing-Labing” Amid MTRCB Issue

In response, Vice Ganda said that he and Ion Perez were only given two days off.

Controversial personalities Vice Ganda and Ion Perez were granted two days off following summon from MTRCB.

Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) is a government agency under the Office of the President. This agency is responsible for reviewing television programs, movies, and publicity materials.

And recently, the cake scene of Its Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez caught the attention of MTRCB. A summon was issued stating that what the hosts displayed were indecent acts.

Such has created a loud buzz online. However, many people online aired their concerns about why MTRCB called out Showtime and not Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa on EAT. In an episode, Sotto was showering Helen’s neck kisses on national television.

No summon was released for EAT. And because of this, many people thought that this could be because Lala Sotto, the MTRCB chairperson, is their daughter. In a previous article, many people found the MTRCB’s chair decision unfair regarding these matters.

But amid this, MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto affirms the decision. The chairperson noted that this is not the first time for Showtime to receive a notice. They have been accordingly warned several times.

She said, “Kung alam n’yo lang, ilang notices na ang pinadala namin sa kanila. Nakailang warning na rin sila dahil puro sila may violations sa lengguwahe, paulit-ulit po iyon.”

And amid all the chaos created by the issue, involved personalities Vice and Ion Perez went on a vacation. The couple did not disclose where they have headed but they update their fans on their social media pages.

They share photos online and recently, in a response to a netizen, the superstar comedian expressed that they were actually two days off only. They were only allowed two days of “labing-labing” amid the issue with the government agency.
