For surfers, months from July to November create the best waves. Siargao International Surfing Cup is an annual event held every September.

You may try Sayongsong, a type of Filipino rice cake wrapped inside a banana leaf. Their Kinilaw is also a must-try dish made of deboned fish with vinegar, ginger, onions, salt, and chili.
