Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis has this reaction to Lumpia Meme featuring her white gown for the GMA Gala 2023.
Anne is one of the most fashional female celebrities in the Philippines. She can showcase different styles that would always catch the attention of fashion enthusiasts. For a recent event, the wife of famous content creator Erwan Heussaff showcased an elegant YSL evening gown on the red carpet.
She was with her It’s Showtime co-hosts Vice Ganda, Jhong Hilario, and Vhong Navarro during the Kapuso event. They walked together on the red carpet and had their solo poses as well showcasing their outfits.
Some netizens commented that Anne Curtis looked simple in her outfit for that Kapuso event. In her overall styling, the actress-host apparently channeled Aubrey Hepburn, who is known as one of the classic fashion icons.
Some netizens even likened her gown to a lumpia, based on the article in PEP. A netizen expressed on Twitter that it was unacceptable that Anne would wear that kind of outfit.
“Hindi ko talaga matanggap ‘yung suot ni Ms. @annecurtissmith sa #GMAGala2023. Mukhang shanghai na hindi pa napiprito. Here’s the comparison to prove my point. Pero ang ganda mo pa rin po, Ms. Anne. Loveyouuu!” Twitter user @kenquenito commented.
Apparently, the lumpia meme reached Anne’s knowledge. In a video that Vice Ganda shared on his Instagram story, he and Anne Curtis were standing in front of the mirror and they were already wearing black outfits.
In the video, Anne was heard saying, “Here have some lumpia,” as she was handing a white cloth to Vice. Then, they both laughed. With this, it is safe to say that the Kapamilya star did not take the lumpia meme negatively.
