DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR UK VISA – Here is a full list of the documentary requirements needed in applying for a visa to the United Kingdom.
One of the countries that a lot of Pinoys hope to visit is the United Kingdom. More popularly called U.K., it requires a visa upon entry. It is important to prepare the documents needed in applying for visa ahead of time as the process may take some weeks.
Here are the documents required for UK Visa application that you must prepare if you are locally employed in the Philippines:
- duly-accomplished UK Visa Application Form
- two (2) photographs that are taken within the past six (6) months and in color.
- Philippine passport that is valid for at least three (3) months more beyond the date of depature from the United Kingdom; it should have one blank page for the visa
- proof that you have the financial stability for the cost of living in U.K.
- bank statements for the last six (6) months
- payslips for the last six (6) months
- proof of accommodation or a document stating where you will be accommodated during your stay in the United Kingdom; you do not have to fully pay a hotel accommodation at this point
- detailed travel itinerary that narrates what you are planning to do in U.K. during your stay including the places you plan to visit and the travel dates
- Tuberculosis Test results
- Biometric information including the fingerprints and a digital photograph captured at the appropriate application center
- UK Visa invitation letter if you will be staying at a friend or a family member’s house
- UK cover letter that narrates the purpose of the visit to the United Kingdom and your background
In case you will be presenting any document that is not written in the English language, it is best to submit a certified translations of these documents.
Aside from the aforementioned documents required for UK Visa application, locally employed individuals must present a letter from your employer indicating your position at work, salary, and the length of employment. Bring your requirements to your chosen VFS Global Center on your appointment date.
Aside from the United Kingdom, another most sought-after countries by Filipinos is the United States which also requires a visa for entry. There are requirements in applying for US Visa / USA Nonimmigrant Visa for visitors.
