Sunshine Dizon is happy to be back in the afternoon drama
Actress Sunshine Dizon talked about her role in the new afternoon series Pira-Pirasong Paraiso.
Sunshine has been in the industry for almost three decades now. She has already done a lot of afternoon and primetime series and her versatility was shown through the various roles she portrayed.
When she transferred to ABS-CBN from GMA-7, she was immediately given a project, the primetime series Marry Me, Marry You with her fellow former Kapuso stars Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino.
For her new teleserye project, Sunshine Dizon said that her role is like a Pandora’s box. It is a Kapamilya series that will be shown on TV5. The actress shared that she is excited about this new project.
“I’m so excited na makikita na naman ng mga fans at masayang-masaya ako sa pagbabalik ng ABS-CBN sa panghapon at kaparte ako no’n,” the actress said. Spending three decades in the industry, Sunshine said that she makes sure that the viewers will always see something new in what she portrays.
“It’s hard sometimes to differentiate characters eh. I think as an actor it depends on how you attack it. Siguro ang difference ngayon, mahirap basahin ‘yung character ni Mamshie,” she said.
Sunshine said that the viewers can expect a lot of twists in her character because there a lot of hidden things about her. “Para siyang Pandora’s box na marami siyang tinatago sa mga nakaraan nila ng love of her life, kaya meron siyang wall,” the actress shared.
However, she said that her character, deep inside, is a mother who is longing for love from her children but these children found different paths. This is hurtful for her character and she does not know how to get up from this heartbreak.
