Lea Salonga Viral Encounter w/ Fans, G Tongi Reacts For Being Namedropped

The name of G Tongi was dragged by a fan who wanted to take a photo with Lea Salonga

Broadway diva Lea Salonga had a viral encounter with fans who barged into her dressing room to have a photo with her and a fan namedropped former actress G Tongi for the supposed privilege that they got.

In the video, Lea was obviously surprised when Pinoy fans reached her dressing room. The singer-actress stressed that they were not on the guest list and there was an allotted area for fans to wait for photo-taking.

However, the fans insisted that they just want to have a photo with her and then, a woman mentioned that she is a friend of G Tongi, the co-producer of the show.

However, when Lea Salonga asked G Tongi about this but the latter denied that she knew those people who just went to the dressing room unannounced.

Based on the article in PEP, G is actually not a co-producer of the Broadway musical Here Lies Love in New York. She is the liaison officer.

In a recent Facebook post, G thanked those who followed the protocols in the theater and slammed those who breached them. “We really appreciate everyone who followed our safety protocols for our artists,” the former actress said.

She also reminded those who wanted to take photos with the cast members to be at the proper place where photo opportunities are allowed. “If you want the chance to meet the cast & get your playbills signed, please proceed directly out of the theater to stage door after the show on 53rd street between Broadway and 8thh. Maraming maraming salamat po!” G stressed.

The former actress even included a photo of the map where the picture-taking is allowed. In the comment section, a netizen had this question for G, “So are you’re saying don’t sneak past security, invade the sacred haven of artists, then drop your name to get a picture with Lea?!” G Tongi agreed by saying “Bingo!”
