Netizen Kaiji Katsuragi shared a photo featuring an amusing face-off between Pikachu and a dinosaur at the Anime and Cosplay Expo (ACX) held at the SMX Convention Center. The unexpected clash between these iconic characters left attendees and online viewers entertained, showcasing the unique and unpredictable nature of cosplay events.
Kaiji recounted the memorable experience from the first day of the ACX. As an event dedicated to cosplay enthusiasts, it attracted a diverse range of cosplayers, including those wearing inflatable costumes such as the dinosaur and Pikachu.
“This was from day 1 of the Anime and Cosplay Expo (ACX) at the SMX Convention Center. It’s a cosplay event, and many kinds of cosplayers show up, kasama yung mga nagususot ng mga inflatables tulad ng dinosaur at Pikachu,” Katsuragi said.
Excitement filled the air as attendees eagerly anticipated what would unfold during this unconventional battle.
Tech booth staff even joined in the fun by playing Pokémon battle music, heightening the anticipation among the crowd. Eventually, Pikachu emerged victorious as the dinosaur deflated, but the atmosphere remained light-hearted and friendly.
While Kaiji admitted to not fully understanding the nature of the encounter, the event highlighted the unique and whimsical moments that can only be found in the world of cosplay.
“Lahat excited kung anong mangyayari, nakisama pa yung tech booth at nagpatugtog ng Pokemon battle music! In the end, si Pikachu ang nagwagi nang madeflate si dinosaur, pero bati naman ang lahat pagtapos. Hindi ko pa rin maintindihan yung nangyari, pero may mga bagay na sa mga ganitong event mo lang talaga makikita,” he added.
