Rendon Labador Called Lea Salonga “Plastic” After Viral Encounter with Fans
Social media personality Rendon Labador expresses reactions to the viral encounter of singer Lea Salonga with her fans and called her “plastic”.
It may be recalled that worldwide artist Lea Salong created a sensation on social media after a supposed fan shared a video of her declining to take a photo with them. When a passionate admirer entered Lea’s dressing room, she found herself in an unexpected predicament.
In the said video, Lea told the fans: “Who are you? I’m sorry, I don’t know who you are. If you’re not on the guest list, we cannot have you back here. So, you’ll have to get to the door because if I allow this now then other people are gonna take advantage.”
According to the previous article, the incident occurred during her performance at the Broadway Theater in New York with her role in ‘Here Lies Love,’ a musical based on the life of former first lady Imelda Marcos. The incident was videotaped and instantly went viral.
Lea later explained that the fans had invaded her dressing room without her consent, invading her personal space and boundaries. She was perplexed as to how she was meant to react in such a situation.
Meanwhile, Rendon Labador, a self-proclaimed motivational speaker, weighs in on the viral incident. While Rendon agreed with Lea’s answer, he questioned her body language during the interview, labeling her “plastic.”
“Okay yung paliwanag pero hindi maganda ‘yung body language. Plastic si Lea Salonga,” he noted in a comment. He also referred to her as “expired,” using the same term to describe other celebrities he has criticized.
Rendon expressed disappointment with Lea in another post for not accommodating her few admirers. He proposed that some superstars lose their celebrity as a result of their unfavorable attitudes toward fans.
He said, “Ilang piraso na nga lang ‘yung fans mo hindi mo pa ma cater [facepalm emoji] Madami talagang artista na may attitude sa totoong buhay. Kaya din kayo nalalaos.”
