TVJ EAT Ratings Decreases? Ogie Diaz Has This Statement

This is what Ogie Diaz said about the TVJ EAT ratings.

TVJ EAT – The rating of TVJ’s TV5 show continues to slip and this is what Ogie Diaz said about this as heard in his new vlog.

The new show of TVJ on TV5 had a successful launch based on the ratings race. They got an 8.4 percent rating beating the other two noontime shows such as Its Showtime which launched on GTV that same day and the revamped Eat Bulaga.

Here are the July 1 ratings:

  • E.A.T â€“ 8.4 percent
  • Its Showtime â€“ 4 percent
  • Eat Bulaga – 2.6 percent

TVJ — Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon —  are the undisputed kings of noontime. And in the AGB Nielsen data released last July 3, EAT garnered a 6.3 percent average program rating. It slipped down a bit compared to their launching episode but this is still high for noontime numbers.

EB came second at 3.25 percent on GMA and It’s Showtime with 1.62 percent on GTV, .97 percent on A2Z, and .33 percent on the Kapamilya Channel.

However, in recent rating reports from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, EAT’s rating continues to slip down. It appears the hype about their transfer is starting to fade and this reflects on their ratings.

In the video of Ogie Diaz, he expressed the same observation but he fears that the figures could also indicate that the public has let go of free television again after the historic events that happened on July 1.

In this modern time, people tend to turn their attention to digital platforms of programs and shows. Through digital platforms, they won’t be able to miss an episode and such comes in handy.

“Ako ang nakukuha ko lang dito, may mga times na tumataas ang Its Showtime at mataas sila sa probinsya,” he said.

  1. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that another group, Show Time, was kicked out of its time slot to make way for TVJ. Pano kaya kung baliktad at sila ang sinipa? Siguro naman walang kinalaman sina TVJ sa pagsipa sa It’s Showtime, but sana delilakesa na lang at hindi nila hinayaang me masipa. Pero in these times, parang walang halaga na ang dekikadesa, o respeto, sa big stars. it’s all about money, it would seem. BTW I didn’t and don’t watch It’s Showtime much less Eat Bulaga. I just read the news.
