Awra Briguela Release from Police Custody Despite Weekend Questioned by Netizens
The online community questioned the release of Kapamilya actor Awra Briguela from police custody despite the weekend.
Awra Briguela, also known as Mcneal Briguela, was temporarily released after paying a P6,000 bond on Saturday night, July 1. Awra was detained on June 29 in relation to a rampage outside The Bolthole Bar in Poblacion, Makati.
The 19-year-old actor was charged with bodily harm, causing panic and scandal, disobeying authority, and direct assault. On Friday morning, he was indicted at the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
The comedian may be released on bond next week, according to the Southern Police District, because the court has not yet raffled his case. However, Awra was released at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday. While some were pleased with the comedian’s release, others questioned the date of his bail and release from jail.
“May bail pala pag Saturday?”
“Wow may mga pinagtrabahong judges at piskal ng weekend! Pag mahirap, antay ka hanggang lunes.”
“Sana all nakaka pag piyansa ng Sabado.”
According to the report, the complainant stated that Awra asked him to remove his pants. He claimed Awra became enraged when he refused. His friends left the bar, and bouncers were seen on a video attempting to keep Awra from following them.
The scuffle between the two groups outside the pub was the following scene. After the brawl was broken up, the police arrived and arrested Awra. When police attempted to speak with Awra, they were confronted with expletives and refused to follow the authorities. She was then taken to a police station.
