Massive Diesel Fuel Storage Found in Local Home
DIESEL – A seemingly ordinary home in Quezon City has turned into a source of fear after a shocking discovery involving thousands of liters of diesel.
A quiet residential neighborhood in Quezon City has recently become the center of public attention after a house was reportedly found storing an estimated 10,000 liters of diesel fuel within its premises.
The issue surfaced on the evening of April 4, 2026, when a video began circulating online. The footage showed an oil tanker parked in front of a residential property, transferring a large volume of diesel into a storage facility located inside the house’s compound. The unusual activity quickly raised alarm among residents and authorities alike.

Following the incident, officials from the Department of Energy (DOE) immediately went to the identified property to conduct an inspection. Reports indicated that the diesel was believed to still be stored inside the premises at the time of their visit. However, no one from the household came forward to speak with the authorities.
According to the DOE, they strictly prohibit the storage of petroleum products, especially in residential areas, due to the significant safety risks involved. Large quantities of flammable substances, such as diesel, pose a serious threat, including the possibility of fires or explosions that could endanger nearby homes and residents.
Further investigation revealed that there were no proper permits for the diesel delivery to the house. Additionally, the local barangay confirmed that it had not received any request or application for permission to store such a large amount of fuel in a residential zone.

Concerned for their safety, several neighbors initiated a signature campaign calling for the immediate removal of the stored diesel. Residents expressed fears that the situation could lead to a fire or other dangerous incidents that might affect their community.
The petition is expected to be submitted to the office of Joy Belmonte on April 7, 2026, urging swift action from the local government.
Meanwhile, the DOE continues its investigation to determine which oil company was responsible for delivering the diesel to the residence, as authorities work to prevent similar incidents in the future.
