Gelo Rivero, the brother of basketball player-actor Ricci Rivero, has this reaction to a news report about Awra Briguela’s recent issue.
It is known to many that Awra and Ricci are on a hot seat these past few days. It is because of fiery social media posts that Awra shared after it was confirmed that her friend Andrea Brillantes broke up with Ricci.
The basketball player-actor was accused of cheating and he denied this. Amid the issue, Awra’s tweet caught the attention of the online community as many netizens perceived that she was attacking Ricci. Awra and Andrea are close friends.
On June 29, videos of Awra Briguela fighting against a group of men circulated on social media. It can be seen that the authorities were trying to stop her, which for some was already too much.
In an Instagram story, Gelo Rivero shared a news report about the 19-year-old Kapamilya star stating that she was handcuffed following the brawl that happened in Makati City.
In the caption of his post, the brother of Ricci Rivero wrote, “Yun lang.” As of this writing, this post is no longer available on Gelo’s IG story. However, several netizens shared a screenshot of this on Twitter.
Netizens did not like what Ricci’s brother posted and they criticized him because of this. “Awra needs to be protected! She defends the ones she loves so much! She’s such a beautiful soul! She knows when to defend her friends and protect them from harms way! Ricci cries over spilled milk…” a netizen commented.
