PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers over most parts of the country.

On Saturday (June 24, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition and scattered rain showers over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.

The ITCZ / Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over rest of Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Similar weather condition is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Palawan, rest of Luzon Mindanao, and the western section of Visayas as well as the rest of the Visayas will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
