Pokwang had this interview after personally filing a deportation case against her former partner
Kapuso comedienne Pokwang revealed the reason why she decided to file a deportation case versus her former partner American actor Lee O’Brian.
Pokie and Lee’s breakup created a loud buzz on social media. Initially, it was quiet after the breakup confirmation surfaced online. However, it became noisy when Pokie started to reveal what she really went through.
Although she has been receiving negative reactions for being expressive of what she feels, Pokie continues to fight her battle.
That battle led to the court. On June 13, Pokwang personally went to the Bureau of Immigration to file the deportation case against Lee O’Brian.
Following that step she did, she was interviewed by Tita Jegs, the co-host of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz in his YouTube show Showbiz Update. When asked why she is so determined to make her former partner leave the Philippines, the Kapuso comedienne said that it is needed and it is about time to do it.
Pokie also stressed that it is not just because she is angry at him. “May na violate siya sa batas,” she said. She also cited that Filipinos go through a lot in going to other countries and it would be unfair that someone like Lee is having an easy time being in the country.
Another point that Pokie stressed is that Lee is not fulfilling his duty as a father. “It’s about time na bigyan natin ng leksyon yung mga ganyang gawain,” she said.
When it comes to answering her bashers, the comedienne said that this is the trend now, and when people are using social media for bashing, she said that a celebrity like her can also jump into this trend.
“Kung meron kayong karapatang mag-iingay sa social media parang mas lalo yata kami, di ba?” Pokwang said.
