These are the reactions of Eat Bulaga “original hosts” to TVJ confirming the transfer to TV5.
EAT BULAGA – Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon are heading to TV5, and here are the reactions of the original EB hosts.
TVJ finds a new home on TV5 after announcing its departure from TAPE, the production company that produces “Eat Bulaga”. After their resignation, the resignation of other hosts followed.
Mediaquest President and CEO Jane Basas expressed his happiness over TVJ calling TV5 their home. Accordingly, the TVJ program will be aired on TV5 and other Mediaquest platforms.
Now, will their show be called “Eat Bulaga” still?
Many questions are lingering online such as what their show would be and what will happen to Its Showtime, the Kapamilya noontime show that is currently occupying the 12-noon timeslot of TV5.
Despite these lingering questions, “original Dabarkads” Maine Mendoza, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo, Pauleen Luna, Wally Bayola, and Ryzza Mae all expressed their happiness over the announcement of TVJ.
“Tuloy ang isang libo’t isang tuwa [TV5]” says Maine in her post while JDL shares a meaningful post about his former TV5 show “Wow Mali” and anchored it to their decision to transfer.
Ballesteros, on the other hand, introduced TV5 as their new home and Pauleen and Wally both expressed, “See you, legit dabarkads! [heart emoji]”
Meanwhile, on May 31, TVJ surprised viewers by announcing that they had resigned from the show’s producer. Other hosts followed by submitting their resignation letters.
EB has aired for 44 years and the trio TVJ, considered as pillars, are the pioneering hosts and the people who also the show in 1979.
