The New Hosts Of the Noontime Show Eat Bulaga
EAT BULAGA – The new ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts were introduced after the departure of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, mainstays from the noontime show.
On May 31, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon announced their departure from the longest-running noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga,” citing TAPE Inc.’s directive to stop airing live broadcasts of the program. Their fellow hosts then submitted letters of resignation from TAPE.
After Tito, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other “Eat Bulaga” hosts left, the noontime program introduced new hosts, led by Paolo Contis and the Legaspi twins, Cassy and Mavy. In a previous article, veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin appealed to the public not to bash new hosts of the show.
The comedians Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, and Alexa Miro, who is said to be dating Sandro Marcos, the president’s son, are all leading the pack of new hosts. Miro performed a lively dance number to kick up the program, and then Cassy and Mavy entered the stage to perform another dance number.
Then, Contis made his way out from the audience and began to perform his rendition of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” as people waved skinny balloons in his direction.
Paolo Contis stated in one of his spiels that they don’t know how long they will be on the show, but that what matters is that they make sure their viewers are happy. Sumaya also introduced a game segment for the program in which players had to use the hashtag “Eat Bulaga Na.”
Kapuso versatile actor Kokoy De Santos and the P-pop girl group XOXO made up of Riel Lomadilla, Dani Ozaraga, Mel Caluag, and Lyra Micolob were also seen as special guests.
