NPD Chief, 2 Police Relieved from Post After Grenade Attack at their Office
Northern Police District (NPD) chief and two (2) police officials were relieved from their posts following a grenade attack at their office.
After being shot and attacked by a grenade in their workplace, the NPD-Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) chief and two other officers were relieved. The recent arrest of drug personalities, according to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Spokesperson PLTCOL Luisito Andaya, may have something to do with the raid on the stated office.

PLTCOL MichaeI Chavez, Chief of NPD DDEU, PMAJ Dennis Odtuhan, Assistant Chief, NPD DDEU, and PCAPT Ivan Rinquejo, Commander, Sub Station 4, are among those who have been relieved of their duties, according to Andaya. The relief is intended to clear the way for a full inquiry into the occurrence.
Based on the report, a volley of gunshots was fired followed by the hurling of a grenade, shocking the front of the DDEU office. Bullets struck the DDEU headquarters, inflicting damage to the stairs.
According to police, two vehicles parked in front of the office were also injured by gunshots and grenade shrapnel. There were no casualties or injuries recorded, however, two parked vehicles and the office’s front steps were destroyed.
