Jennica Garcia Speaks About Her Second Chance In Showbiz

Jennica Garcia, just like her mom, got her second chance in showbiz

Actress Jennica Garcia is thankful that she got a big break again in showbiz after her seven-year hiatus.

Jennica is now a mother of two, ages 7 and 4. With her pregnancy and being a mother, her showbiz career had to take a backseat. She is the daughter of seasoned actress Jean Garcia.

In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN News, Jennica shared that just like her mom, she also had another chance in showbiz. Jean started her career as an actress in the late 1980s and she had another round of success when she starred in the 2000 series Pangako Sa’Yo.

Jennica Garcia also received this kind of opportunity in reviving her career. She came back with a role in the Kapamilya series Dirty Linen. From that, more projects is coming her way.

“With ‘Ur Da Boss,’ ‘Fractured,’ then I have TV guestings, sometimes, I don’t even know what day is it. I am often not aware anymore. I just make sure I have my schedule for the week. It can really get overwhelming. Hindi ko agad tinatanong ang schedule ko sa handler ko,” the actress said.

In her busy schedule, she makes sure to still have time for her kids, especially when they need her in school activities.

With her second shot in her acting career, Jennica said that she hopes she will have the same fate as her mother had.

So, I’m praying na sana pareho kami ng kapalaran ni Mama kasi, after my seven-year hiatus, when I returned, that was the same age as Mama then. History repeats itself. Ayos na ayos sa akin ‘yun. This is my second wind,” Jennica said.

She also shared that she got two important pieces of advice from her mother. The first one was when she was 17 years old. Jean told her to be nice to everybody. “Basta katrabaho mo sila, regardless of their position, be respectful,” Jennica added.

The second piece of advice that she got from her mother was when she had her showbiz comeback.  “She told me that was exactly what happened to her. She went to Japan, migrated and worked there. But when the ABS-CBN offer for ‘Pangako sa ‘Yo’ came, Mama accepted it,” Jennica Garcia said.
